Hello, my name is Glenn, the “Accidental Tourist”. Welcome to my photography page! I’ve selected some of my favorite photos from down the street and around the globe for you. I’ve been a photographer for most of my adult life. A few years ago, I began to take this art form a bit more seriously.
For decades, I owned an Olympus OM 1 (I still do). In 2010 I transitioned to digital photography, using a Nikon D60 I found on Craigslist. While inexpensive, it taught me valuable lessons about the basics and of course the Nikon brand. Imagine getting a new camera and within days, going on a trip to Switzerland? It was a magical trip: The Swiss Alps, The Montreux Jazz Festival, and the amazing intersection of cultures. Let’s not forget me falling down an up bound escalator while trying to save my tripod! I shot most of the photos in automatic mode, purely out of fear of messing something up! It’s still one of those experiences I wish to revisit…
